He is a former school board member in Ankeny, is the CEO of Midwest Venture Capital in the city and owns various bars and eateries in the area. It seems that he knows a thing or two about running a business. Ken and Heather Cordes will be opening the store in Altoona, and they have already announced that this store will have a drive-thru option.
The new Ankeny Cold Stone Creamery will be based in the popular Prarie Trail development. It will actually share a store with a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory candy shop, which is also owned by Andrew Martin. This will obviously be the go-to place for anyone in the area who likes their desserts. This store will be open from 11 am to 10 pm Sunday to Thursday and 11 am to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The Altoona store will be located next to Bianchi Boys Pizza, the opening hours for this store are as of yet unconfirmed.
Cold Stone Creamery have been serving up fresh ice cream and cakes for over 25 years, they certainly know what they are doing. They serve a range of ice-cream flavours for you to choose from and they then chop and fold in your choice of mix-ins, plus all of this takes place on a frozen granite stone. You can choose to add in anything from Oreos, fruits, nuts, candies, or even apple pie filling. The possibilities are endless. You can even order ice cream cakes, including birthday cakes or cupcakes, plus you can customise your own cake if you wish.
